[NCAA] PRINTS' PICKS - WEEK 7

ARMY over Holy Cross: If this was a basketball tournament game, HC all the way. Did you know the great Bob Cousy went to Holy Cross? And Duke Basketball Coach K played at ARMY? As far as lacrosse goes this year, ARMY will win this easy battle Saturday. Army +5.

UMBC over Binghamton: YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, NY native RYAN BAKER is a complete player for UMBC. Only a freshman, he is the workhorse behind the midfield for this young UMBC team. He will find the back of the net often against the slow and leaky Binghamton LSMs.

YALE over Cornell: As March Madness sets in, I can't help making references to the basketball tournament as I watch my brackets slowly get busted! But, YALE Basketball is having an amazing season despite losing their captain for some unexplained reasoning. Their lacrosse team has no controversy right now and the way their midfield is playing, I think they are too physical for Cornell right now. Bulldogs by 2 goals!

DREXEL over St. John's: This is another tough call game this week. DREXEL relies on its defense. Being coached by an all time defensive genius in BRIAN VOELKER, DREXEL will take this one on their defense. Riding the back of ground ball animal JUDE WHALEN who plays defense like DREXEL Legend JOHN JACKOWIAK, the Dragons prevail.

DUKE over Georgetown: The Richmond loss was a strange occurrence for DUKE. I like the way they bounced back against Loyola. The Hoyas will give them a good game but, DUKE will win this one by a goal margin of +-4. This should be a fun game to watch!

SYRACUSE over Johns Hopkins: Well, well, never a dull moment when these two legendary programs clash together. Pick your player match up cliche.......Gait vs Petro, Powell vs Doerr, Benson vs St. George, Marr vs Beardsley. The list is long and dense. This one is always a instant classic!

MONMOUTH over Marist: Sticking to the March Madness, MONMOUTH basketball got robbed on selection day. Wins over UCLA, Notre Dame, USC, and Georgetown and no respect? Come on man! I'm going to give MONMOUTH LACROSSE some respect with a win and going to call Texas product BRYCE WASSERMAN having a big game Saturday as well!

UPENN over Princeton: All Ivy League games are tough to gauge. They all have a historic rivalry that dates back to the 1800's. In this match up of smart guys, I have to go with UPENN workhorses NICK DOKTOR (Irondequoit) and REILLY HUPFELDT (Haverford) having a supply cart of goals for the Quakers!

D2 Pick of the Week: CATAWBA over Mars Hill: Battle in North Carolina! I have to go with coach PETER BOURQUE and his stellar league best goalie RYAN APPLEGATE (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL) groomed by goalie great RAY CARNICELLI. APPLEGATE has the ability to change a game between the pipes and I think he will be a stone wall against the in state rival. Look for the Indians to get back in the winner's circle Saturday!

D3 Pick of the Week: SKIDMORE over Clark: SKIDMORE has a special player in the Taft School product KEVIN MULVEY. Although Clark is a much improved team this year from the past, they don't have a lock down defenseman needed to handle MULVEY. KEVIN MULVEY and the Thoroughbreds have a busy day peppering the Clark keeper Saturday!
